By the mid-21st century, the United States no longer exists as the world once knew it.

White nationalists, religious cults, and far right militias have successfully carved out and established self-governing territories for themselves throughout the land. Trapped within these hostile borders and subject to new dynamics of violent neocolonial power are populations of vulnerable people in desperate need of aid. Rising to meet this desperate need is a new generation of professional coyote dedicated to the smuggling of people and aid in and out of these contested territories. 

In the inaugural spring 2020 issue of Wildcards comics magazine, readers will meet Sheyne Julian and Yulysses "YZ" Zambrano, two such coyotes, as they embark on a rescue mission deep in a country fractured by hate and gunfire.
